Norma L. Steck Ware

Norma L. Steck Ware, 85, of 92 Maryland Street, Keyser, WV, died Friday, March 25, 2005 at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, MD.
Born on May 4, 1919 at Westernport, MD, she was a daughter of the late Louis Gilbert Heiland and Sarah Margaret (Humphrey) Heiland Harris. She also was preceded in death by her step-father, Thomas Jefferson Harris; two husbands, Jackson Wendell Steck and Charles Ware and two sons, Jackson Edward Steck and Gregory Thomas Steck.
Mrs. Ware was a homemaker and was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Keyser. She also was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to Queen’s Point Memorial Post # 6775, VFW, McCoole, MD and the Mineral County Senior Citizens.
Surviving are a sister, Idelma E. Blocher of Frostburg, MD; a half-sister, June E. Dickenson of Mesa, AZ; seven grandchildren, Jacqueline, Shawn, Mark, Kurt and Paige Steck, Shaila Springer and Wendy Moomau and a number of great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Tuesday, March 29 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Wednesday, March 30 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. James A. McCune officiating.
Interment will be in the Queen’s Point Cemetery, Keyser.
