James M. Harmon, 50, of Keyser, WV died Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born on December 30, 1959 at Martinsburg, WV, he was a son of Helen Jane (Weir) Harmon of Terra Alta, WV and the late Edward Norris Harmon. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ruthie Bennett and Carol Ann Herrell; a brother, Kenneth Harmon; his foster mother, Lillian Allen and a foster brother, Darrell Allen.
Mr. Harmon was formerly employed at the Treasure Chest Printing Company in Manassas, Virginia. He loved to listen to his "jams" and collects his "cans".
Surviving, in addition to his mother, is his daughter, Cinnamon Cheyenne Harmon of Cross, WV; four sisters, Virginia Lee Silver and husband Max of Hedgesville, WV, Linda Cooper and husband Fred of Berkeley Springs, WV, Mary Jean Harmon of Martinsburg, WV and Evelyn Harmon of Keyser; his extended family, Ed and Amy Neff of Cross, Jason Neff of Westernport, MD, Sarah Fazenbaker of Piedmont, WV, Amber Neff of Keyser and Dennis Johnston of Greensboro, NC; his good friend and caregiver with whom he resided, Barbara Franklin of Keyser; his childhood best friend and buddy, Tommy Hott of Alabama; special friends, Les and Terry Jones of Keyser; several nieces and nephews and not to be forgotten all of his other friends in the Keyser area that he loved and spent much time with over the years that are too numerous to mention.
Friends were received at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Monday, March 22, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services were conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Darnell Allen and Max Silver officiating.
Final committal services will be held at the convenience of the family.
