James M. Campi, 79, of Marsh Manor Court, McCoole, MD, died Sunday, August 18, 2013 at his residence.
Born on December 21, 1933 at Sayre, PA, he was a son of the late Max James and Ethal Rita (France) Campi. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Waunnetta M. "Willie" (Likin) Campi on March 7, 2013 and by a sister, Doris of Seattle, Washington.
Mr. Campi was previously employed with various printing companies in Baltimore, MD and was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are one daughter, Lynette Campi of California; three stepdaughters, Deborah Guthrie and husband Rex of Kitzmiller, MD, Catherine Sue Wolfe and companion, Rick Cramer of Keyser, WV and Susan Kay Taylor of Cumberland, MD; 11 step grandchildren and 14 step great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his special companion, his pet Dachshund, "Max."
At Mr. Campi's request, there will be no public visitation. Memorial services will be held at a later date with times to be announced.
The Smith Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
